What to Expect

Worship Service

Our worship service lasts about an hour and includes music, prayer, and a message.

Sunday School

We have a Sunday School Class for every member of the family! When you arrive, come into the Sanctuary or the Family Life Center (the big white building) and any one of our members will be happy to help you find the right class.

Children's Church

Children are always welcome to stay in the Sanctuary during our worship services, but we also offer special options for our youngest learners.

After the first two hymns and announcements, children are invited to attend Children’s Church, where they enjoy an engaging lesson, singing, and fun activities designed to help them learn and live out the truths of God’s Word in age-appropriate ways.

Parents are always welcome to accompany their child if they wish.

Nursery

Our nursery is located inside the Sanctuary and is typically open during both Sunday School and Worship Services. Parents are welcome to drop off their children for either or both times, or to stay with them in the nursery if they prefer.

Some families choose to keep their babies in the service and head to the nursery only if needed — that’s perfectly fine too. You’re welcome to come and go as works best for your family. Our goal is to make worship accessible and comfortable for everyone, including our youngest members.

Frequently Asked Questions

What time do services start?
Sunday School begins at 9:30 and the Worship Service begins at 10:30.
What should I wear?
Most people at Pleasant Grove wear dress clothes on Sunday mornings — men often wear khakis and polos, and women usually wear dresses or dress pants. But please come however you feel comfortable. We care more about you being here than what you wear.

If you join us for evening or weekday services, these are typically more relaxed.
What happens during the Worship Service?
Our worship services include a mix of hymns, prayer, announcements, and a message from God’s Word. After the sermon, there is typically an invitation; this is an opportunity to come to the front and pray with our pastor. When the service is over, we invite you to the front porch of the church to meet the pastor and our other members.

We focus on creating an atmosphere that’s reverent, joyful, and centered on Christ. Services last about an hour.
Is there something for my kids?
Yes! We love families at Pleasant Grove.

Children are always welcome to stay in the Sanctuary, but we also offer Children’s Church after the first two hymns and announcements. Kids enjoy singing, activities, and an engaging Bible lesson designed for their age group. Our Nursery, located in the Sanctuary, is open during Sunday School and Worship for our youngest members. Older kids and youth students have designated Sunday School classes and are invited to worship with us during the Worship Service.

There are also classes on Sunday Evenings for all ages.
Do I need to bring anything or sign up before coming?
Nope — just come! There’s no sign-up required, and we won’t put you on the spot. If you’d like, you can fill out a guest card during your visit so we can thank you for coming and help you get connected later. Guest cards are found in the area by the main door to the Sanctuary. Complete it before the service and drop it in the offering plate, or do it afterwards and give it to the pastor by the door.
Do you offer livestreams or recordings of services?
Yes! You can access our sermons on our Website, Facebook Page, and our App.
